look what I got

K2 Killy Shorts! I haven't found anything enlightening about them on the internet so far, but I think (based on those sweet uncoated brake-less Look bindings) that they're from the early 70s. I picked them up cheap at PTA Thrift in Carrboro thinking I was going to make one into a shot ski but realized that I like them way too much for that. These are more like above-the-mantle skis :) LUCKILY my new room has a mantle. And I'm sure I can find some other cheap skis that I won't mind gluing shot glasses to.

Speaking of cool stuff for the new apt, the ladies and I picked up a beautiful/tacky-but-we-love-it living room set today that Heather found on craigslist. I wish I could post a photo of it but I don't have one...guess you'll just have to come over and see it!
